Over at EG Chauffeurs HQ we were thrilled to be asked if we could provide a quote for some luxury vehicles for this annual auspicious event, not only were we thinking how lovely it would be to drive the VIP’s (as we’re big fans) but also it gave us a chance to do something right, and help give children less fortunate than ours a brighter future, so we offered our services completely free of charge.

On the day we had our chauffeur driven cars, freshly cleaned and gleaming ready early as usual to take the VIP’s to this year’s venue for the evening, The Guildhall London, the City’s powerhouse since the twelfth century (an impressive structure to say the least), and what a theatrical wonder it was! In a style inspired by Philip Pullman’s Grimm Tales for Young and Old, the evening was attended by over 380 guests including Samantha Cameron, Helena Bonham Carter, Damian Lewis, Dominic West, Myleene Klass, Poppy Delevingne and Dom Joly.

At EG Chauffeurs we believe everybody deserves the VIP treatment regardless of your profession or status, so it’s charity events like these that help keep us grounded. And not just good, but professional chauffeurs in London are what we’re all about.

Guests were also treated to music by Laura Mvula, who was personally driven by our very own EG Chauffeurs owner, Ervin who was able to ensure Laura was comfortable in one of our fleet favourites, the Black Audi A8 LWB.

With live and silent auctions, the evening successfully raised over 1 million pounds including match funding from the UK government, and we can’t tell you how impressed we are with that figure! Then as the evening drew to a close, our EG Chauffeurs were ready and waiting to take the VIP’s back home safe and comfortably.

We cannot express enough how happy we were with the level of communication from the event organiser Eloise Smith over at Save the Children, it made our jobs easier and pleasurable. It is truly humbling to be part of something big knowing the part you play is making a big difference.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event! Here for the full highlights of this amazing event.
